Today is November 4. Rush concert of course was Friday. It kicked total ass! Here is the preliminary review I was composing in my head as I watched, listened, danced, air-guitared, air-drummed, etc, etc...
Wooo!! dryers....loud....Geddy.....lights.....Alex......huge drumset.....Neil....no chimes =(.......FIRE!......lasers....BY-TOR!.......Geddy-bot, Alex-bot, Neil-bot.....want more songs!!
Well I hope that was informative for you. I'll have a better review once I have more time. Lately my computer time has been spent filling my iPod with tunes. It's fun.

Today is November 7. Birthday went well. Thanks to all who remembered, via cards, e-mails, or their happy face at my party last night =)

Now, for a public service announcement. This is something your mommas and daddies should have taught you a long time ago. In case they didn't, it falls to me to present the following:
Those Little Letters On Invitations
RSVP stands for respondez sil vous plait. Which is French for respond if you please. So if you should receive an invitation which features those 4 little letters, be a FUNCTIONING MEMBER OF SOCIETY. Kindly tell the sender if you can or cannot come to the event to which you have so graciously been invited. Thank you.

In other news, I wish to re-iterate that my dream job shall be "Mallet Percussionist in Herb Alpert and Tijuana Brass Cover Band." I've been listening to their greatest hits record via my new toy and I can't get over how good the songs are. Fun fun music.

Today is November 11. Jonathan, Chris and I had kumla dinner at Grandma Hazel's on Friday night. Kumla is Norwegian food, potato balls in broth served with ham, green beans, applesauce, and bread. It was a birthday meal for all three of us. Chris's actual birthday was Saturday the 9th. I got him a kewl Fossil watch and a copy of GTA3:Vice City. Saturday we also went to see Jackass The Movie with a few of his friends. It was hilarious and I also liked that fact that it was all real people and not actors. Like a documentary
Well, right now I'm supposed to be studying for my 311 exam but I wanted to check all my web comics and stuff, and update my journal. Today I was very stealth. I forgot my 305 homework, so I dashed home on the bus to get it. The southbound bus dropped me off, I ran in the house, grabbed the errant papers, and scurried out to the bus stop just in time to get back on the northbound. The whole trip took less than twenty minutes. Yay me!

Today is November 13. Tonight David Cross is performing at ISU but I have to do lab stuff. So if anyone will be there, please yell "Chock Full O' Notes!" at him. Or ask him to do some magic tricks.
Talking of NewsRadio. Once I had a dream that I was supposed to be euthanized (don't ask me why) but I missed the appointment where they were going to give me the shot. So I was running around like crazy for a while, then I checked myself into 6th floor at Mary Greeley (which is the psych ward). One of my nurses there was Maura Tierney, not "Lisa Miller" from NewsRadio or even "Abby Lockhart" from ER. The actress Maura was now my nurse. She was upset with me because I kept asking her questions about NewsRadio. It was a funny dream. I was glad I didn't have to get euthanized.
Huge shout-out to Jill! I got an awesome present from her today which is a big jar of cookie mix and some cocoa mix too! She had this little survey where she asked what kind of cookie everyone liked. I was very surprised and happy to get the cookie mix of my choice in the mail! So thanks very much Jill for your generous gift =)

Today is November 18. Yesterday I smashed the glass face on my graduation watch. It's a nice watch I received from my mom and dad for high school graduation. So that sucks. Hopefully I'm going to get it fixed.
I've spent this evening being a bum and cutting pictures out of magazines. It's a lot of fun.

Today is November 25. I'm supposed to be packing up my stuff so Chris and I can leave for Sioux City. But I am lazy and have therefore taken to the computer, once again.
Work was pretty insane yesterday. For the second Sunday in a row, some jackass has reached over the counter and tried to give themselves a "free refill" of orange juice. Both times, the perp has used the excuse that they were helping them selves to the OJ because they bought the breakfast buffet, which is "all-you-can-eat." Basically I told him that I didn't have time to argue with him, but that I would sell him another orange juice if he would like one. He threw a dollar at me and I was too gutless to demand the extra 37 cents. It's just absurd to see a full-grown man (it was a man, both times) reaching over my counter, into MY work area, and stealing orange juice. Have you ever heard of a free refill on something like orange juice or milk? No, because those things are expensive. Pop is cheap; free pop refills for everyone. And anyway, they're in a freakin' grocery store. If they think 1.37 is outrageous for a 12-ounce glass of orange juice, then maybe *they'd* like to hike all the way back to the dairy cove at the opposite end of the store and pick up their own carton. *Sigh* too many people just wanting something for nothing, I guess.

Today is November 26. Had a good day in Sioux City today. I did some shopping and I even bought some stuff for other people! Yes!
For me, I got some shirts and a skirt, a pineapple clock, a little pineapple figurine (that I dropped in the store so the top is chipped, oops!) a "Maple" teenie beanie baby, an outfit for a stuffed rabbit "Hoppy VanderHare," if anyone has heard of that, and a new pair of sneakers. This was all amassed at a variety of stores around town. For other people, I got an outfit for a stuffed bear, a Spider-Man car, a velcro catch game, and some personalize-able license plates for bicycles.
Now it's time to go hang out with Kurt and see his kitties!!

Today is November 28. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Today Lucille and all her descendants are gathered at Karen and Gary's house. We are 14 in all. Dinner was really really good. After I update, I'm going to have some PIE!
Grandma Lucille was telling me about the Red Hat Society. Her chapter, here in Sioux City, is called the "Crimson Glorys". The whole shebang is based on a poem by Ms. Jenny Joseph. We played penny bingo, and then I organized some pennies by year. I had a line of pennies from 1968 to 1999. Also 1959, 1963-66. BUT then someone came and wrecked it.
One of Chris's cousins put the radio on the contemporary pop station so I'm about to lose my freaking mind. Luckily baby iPod is here with all my favorite tunes. Peace out.
