Today is December 14 and I am totally setting up my bro-bro's BRAND NEW COMPUTER.
I'm saying it came right to me from the warehouse. Never has it been a floor model,
or owned by someone unworthy. I'm currently re-doing the install so it doesn't have
languages or printer drivers he won't need. Then I'ma check it out from stem to
stern to make sure no aspect has a problem. I want it to be perfect for him. Not
to hate on PB12 (former demo model) but there is something pretty cool about a brand
new out of the box computer. Of course, my appreciation for this has dulled
somewhat, since I open up brand new computers nearly every day. (RAM installs,
complete set-ups, what have you). Perhaps I could liken it to a baker who makes
wedding cakes. When I finally have my very own brand new computer, it won't be
super-exciting, but at least it will be *mine.* Or in this case, my brother's
;-)
In non-computer news, it is pretty nice out today. Oh, and I had my first community
band concert last night. We played at Calvin Manor. Dad came also, because he
is awesome. I was hopeful that the residents would enjoy the music, and Dad said
that they seemed to, especially during the Big Band medley. It reminded me of
Nick Swardson's bit about
how old people always hang onto the music of their youth. Ergo, in the future, old
people will like rap.
