Today is February 2. Would it be too much to ask for a freakin' day off from school? Or even a 2 hour delay. It's 5:32 in the AM right now. After work Sunday, I bought a bunch of Super Bowly snacks, then drove home in the snow. Chris decided the driving was too bad out, so we wouldn't watch the game together. I took my customary nap, but instead of getting up around 5:30 for football, I ended up sleeping all night! i would wake up occasionally, decide it wasn't worth getting out of bed, and go sleep some more. It was kinda fun. At about 2:45 this morning I had had enough of sleeping and went into the living room to watch 2 Queer as Folk episodes so I could send the disc back.

It's not snowing now, but we're supposed to get 1 to 3 inches more today. I don't know how much we got yesterday; there was already plenty on the ground when it started yesterday morning. The only easy way to tell is if you look at sidewalks or someplace that you think would have been shoveled the day before.

So, yeah, I'll have to get on the bus in about 2 hours and go to my senior design team meeting. Roland-Story gets do be delayed, and many schools are even cancelled. Ames Christian is delayed but I think the public schools are on as scheduled.

Today is February 6. Are you ever screwing around with the UNIX commands and just stop to think how cool UNIX is? I did just now. I learned how to make it tell me the size of stuff by putting -g when i type ls. So that was a neat discovery. I also like to move stuff around just by typing. And being able to use rm *.* appropriately is always a rush. I just love taking care of my stuff on isua.

Today is February 11. Yesterday I attended my first ever yoga class. It kicked me square in....well in pretty much every muscle in my body. Ow ow. Definitely harder than I thought. I went with Kelly's friend (and fellow country club apts dweller) Elizabeth.
Yesterday was also the big senior design presentation. I wore a new outfit that I bought especially for the occasion: a regular blue dress shirt and some pinstriped pants. The pants are "tall" inseam length and it is so awesome to have pants that are the right length. Say what you want about lane Bryant they do a pretty good job of getting tall clothes.
Song in my head: "Masquerade" from Phantom of the Opera. Masquerade...paper faces on parade. Look around there's another mask behind you. and so on.

Today is February 16. There were Canada geese kickin' it on the snow south-west of the music building. I was noticing all this goose poop, then I looked over and saw the geese themselves. I talked to one of them, who opened up his/her beak at me, maybe to hiss or bite. But I wasn't in any danger.

I'm watching I Love the 80s, the 1981 episode. Something freaky is that this episode contains 2 Homestar Runner Halloween costumes. 1 was the Greatest American Hero (believe it or not, I'm walkin around, I never thought I could trick or treat), and John MacEnroe. Cool, huh?

Today is February 19. Soooo nice and warm yesterday, I would call it spring-like. Now for my review of Quiznos. It's a sub shop that moved into the old Burger King spot in campus town. They have these commericals where little cut-and-paste creatures sing
We love the subs
Subs are a dollar off
when you bring in a coupon
for things to eat or pony rides
or oil changes or hair plugs.
Any coupon works.
Beware of paper cuts!
So naturally I had to go there and try it out. I got a "traditional" sandwich on wheat bread. A small sized sandwich was 3.99 and there are 3 sizes to choose from. I gave them my coupon, which was for glasses that I got out of the Daily. I ate my sub at home, with some Doritos and diet Coke. The sub seemed small but it was pretty filling. Or maybe just cuz I ate so many chips.

Now for my review of my hair. I love my hair. It looks good when it's a little dirty and greasy. When I wash my hair and let it air dry, it gets curly. Other times it is straight. When I brush my hair, it is shiny.

Today is February 26. The previous entry about Quiznos generated some good feedback. Jill informed me that you can view the commercials on their site, and Chris sent me this Slate article to go even more in-depth. So thanks, guys!

Song reccomendation: "Placebo Headwound" by the Flaming Lips. I heard it on the KURE, and I'm pretty sure it changed my life. PH is on the album Clouds Taste Metallic, which also features that Christmas at the Zoo song that Mathis is all obsessed with.

A couple of Homestar sightings to report. Yesterday, I saw a guy with a The Cheat messenger bag and today there was a young man with a Trogdor tee. Strong Bad had his 99th Email this week and it was AWESOME. If you are still not into the cult of H*R this is the perfect time to check it out. Well maybe watch a few before the 99th otherwise the jokes about him changing the town wouldn't be as funny. yah. Speaking of the Funny, the following 3 are strong in it: Mitch Hedberg, Jim Gaffigan, and David Cross. Oh yeah, and Margaret Cho! She's coming to ISU! Yay!
