Today is March 5, Sore Feet Day. Shout-out to
Mr. Keith Lukens
for
the wonderfully bad band jokes. Happy Birthday also to my good buddy
Kendra
Wendt =)
Frankly, there is not much going on this week. Just biding my time until
Spring Break. Then there will be much rejoicing. Congratulations to my
boyf Chris for completing an entire Monday
New York Times crossword
puzzle!! Yay!
Is it wrong for me to like the new U2 record? Many would say "yes."
Read this,
you'll see what I mean. I don't usually like, ya know, feel-good pop
music for the masses. Especially when it's from a band who used to be
all social and controversial and stuff. Anywho, I've been listening to
the first three tracks off the album a whole bunch lately, and they just
make me feel happy. But on the other hand, I've been listening to a lot
of Hedwig, too, so I still have
*some* credibility left.
Today is March 7. Was walking through Stange House in Friley and heard
someone playing "Supper's Ready" from Genesis's Foxtrot album. I
was so stunned I had to stop in the doorway and keep listening. So thank
you to whatever smelly boy played the old-school Gabriel for all to
hear.
Today is March 8. Chris and I are over at his friend John's house. John
is a stud who had his com
sci homework done in a timely manner. He helped me get mine done.
While I coded, the guys played Gauntlet Legends on the
Game Cube.
It was a pretty good week. Only one more til Spring break, but it will
be a tough one. Check ya later, people.
Today is March 12, 2 in the morning. People, I should be asleep.
Boyfriend link of the forever: Chris's page. (it's a work in progress)
Reason
his page rocks: He is
learning real HTML, of his own accord. Also the fact that I seem to have
my very own directory is quite flattering indeed. So drop Chris an
e-mail of encouragement for his coding ways.
So, if you want to be my friend, I reccommend reading the March and April
pages of last year. To help you see where I am coming from. These are
my feelings, and I put them in the journal. It's much easier for you to
read them there.
In other news, I need a name for a soft brown bunny with poseable ears.
Today is March 13. I'm back into my knitting phase. It's a happy time.
Jill is helping
me utilize the power of UNIX to make this site better. Yay.
Here is a
cool story I think you will enjoy. I would like a child like this
some day =)
Speaking of children, if I ever get pregnant, don't let me
anywhere near Texas.
Today is March 17. Happy St. Patrick's day. I am fully enjoying the
Spring Break. So far in my knitting phase I have knitted three dish
cloths. It's a fun hobby. Today Chris and I went to the mall in Sioux
City. It's a great mall and it even had a Cinnabons. Too bad "Azrael
Abyss" wasn't working there. He could go to Hot Topic to get all his
Goth needs on the way to work ;-)
Today is March 25. I have turned into a bad journal writer. It was a
very fun break. I got to spend a lot of time with my boy, and I saw some
cool movies. "American Beauty" and "Donnie Darko" were both very good.
I have worked 4 days in a row and really don't want to be any where near
the deli for quite some time. Also I dropped my pineapple tie off at the
dry cleaners so it can be green again 'stead of brownish ;-p
Will the world end if I'm not careful?
Today is March 26. We had a Cpr E 211 lab that was
actually fun. We implemented a keypad password thingy. It still took a
long-ass time but it was enjoyable for once.
Don't stop believin.....that's right, Journey is
coming to the Iowa State Fair
this summer. Also appearing on the Grandstand stage, later in the week,
are REO Speedwagon and Styx. I'll for sure go to Journey, and pretend
not to notice that the lead singer is *not* Steve Perry. Undecided on
the Styx/Speedwagon show, since I just saw them when they were at the
fair two years ago. And Styx didn't even play Mr. Roboto.
New Rush album May 14th!!! Read all about it here. It will be my little
carrot to get me through finals week, I am sure ;-)
