Today is March 1. Going back to the tables, making a nifty color scheme for my proud Irish heritage. I should probably throw some orange in here too, though, huh.

When you are sad or bored, what do you need? That's right, Bunny Pictures! The other day I was feeling down and so I googled bunny pictures and that was the first site that came up. Let me tell you I was not disappointed. Make sure you check out the Baby Bunnies section for great pics of kits as they grow. (baby bunnies are called kits...deal with it) Another site, actually Google's #2 return is a randomized Gallery from the House Rabbit Society. The HRS seems cool; I mean Amy Sedaris is a member! If you live in NYC and you get a bunny for your house she'll come over and teach you how to take care of him/her.

Today is March 3. "What Not To Wear" on TLC is the worst, meanest show ever, yet I can't look away. Elimidate is mean, but at least everyone's being mean to each other. In WNTW the 2 bitchy fashion people just pick on the guest nonstop. Although the guy on this episode is pretty gross.

So some people are "Single and ready to mingle." I'm more like "On a break I think is a big mistake." (Or "on a break and going to eat some cake." ...I did buy brownie mix and lemon bar mix.) Obviously since I'm going on the record as saying it was a bad idea, I'm not the one who initiated the break. But we'll see how it goes I guess.

Today is marcy 5. the essence of being drunk is that ;you have to tell someone or something that he/she/it thinks that he/she/it is SO GREAT. Like "Country Club apartment building, you think you're so great." And then Scoff. Or snort.

Today is March 7. Tara Daloo the blog-readers! This weekend has been pretty good. Friday night I worked a bit as a sub for Allen, then came home and hung out with Kelly. We watched some old eps of that 70s show because I think it is one of, if not the, favorite show. Saturday morning I worked. It was a day that dragged on really long but I think we had a fun time anyway. Last night I ate stuffed-crust pizza and watched Queer as Folk episodes. Can you believe they have season 3 out on dvd before season 4 has even aired? Now that's class. Today I went to Target and got some stuff, added to the stuff with purchases from JoAnn Fabrics, then came home and made another cool custom doll. This time it is of Ms. Margaret Cho, dressed in the outfit she wore at the show at Stephens. Pics soon, if I can get a digital cam.

Today is March 11. I got a letter from the power company (city of Ames), and although I haven't opened it, I can guess as what it says. "Don't make us turn your fucking power off," and "This has happened before, goddammit." I have the check all written out, I just need to give it to them.

Recent NetFlikkage: Queer as folk season 3 disc one (Melanie is going to have a baby, with Michael as the father. Although if Mel and Lins were so keen on their children having 1 parent in common, why not have Mel carry a baby made of Mikey and Lindsay? There's probably some legal thing I am ignorant of.) Beverly Hills Cop, awesome. Shannon and I watched it, and I was like dang it's too bad he keeps making crappy family movies now. CKY, the first one. Cute boys get hurt. More of an emphasis on skateboarding tricks, which was cool too.

Today is March 13. Fine day at work. The first couple hours went so slowly but I did get salads done before 10, which was weird. I saw my dad, Grandma Hazel, my elementary school principal Mr. Bohning, my friend Tanna, and Shannon. And of course my cool regulars including Bill and Mary. Mary had a letter from her grandson B.J. who is stationed in Kosovo with the National Guard. Oh yeah I just remembered; he mentioned in his letter about writing to our senators and representatives in Washington DC about getting full tuition reimbursement for Guard members. So I'm gonna do that and would encourage others to do the same.

So...what else is up. I got some Liberty Meadows books from the Ames Public library. I also rented me up some movies (so that I can pare down my queue a bit). Right now, I'm wearing what I hope will be my uniform for the rest of the spring break, a bathrobe. 20 minute pause to search the net for quote from That 70s Show where Donna complains about her dad (whose wife has just left him) hanging around the house in a non-completely-closed bathrobe. Couldn't find it. gr.

Today is March 14. Apparently, I've been writing "May" for the past few entries. I am seriously having probs. Right now, I'm watching Scotland, PA. It's a film that appealed me for the reason of having Maura Tierney and Andy Dick in it, but also because I wrote my own adaptation of MacBeth one time. It was in the ninth grade, and it was about "Bonnie" and "Clyde" (played by me and Ross). Clyde was a police officer who foiled a robbery at the Quick-Mart, and I think pink flamingos were involved somewhere too. This movie takes place in the 70s, and I'm a little dismayed at the overabundance of Bad Company music. I should find that script for "Clyde Died" and post it here.

Today is March 20. It has been an interesting spring break week. St. Pat's was celebrated in fine fashion at Welch Avenue Station with some good people. Mostly just watching movies and working. It's been so slow at work that we've had plenty of opportunities for goofing around. Tim threw a pair of plastic tongs to the floor with gleeful abandon, and they shattered instantly. (We hate the plastic tongs. The ham-fisted customers on the breakfast buffet are notorious for snapping them in half, forcing us to get them new ones.) This movie I'm watching right now is called Class. Mostly I just wanted to watch it as part of the whole "My mom and I trying to watch all the John Cusack movies" thing. It's not too bad, a few too many "pranks" for my taste. Currently, I believe the soundtrack is featuring the Runaways performing Little Drummer Boy (the dudes are going home for Xmas). Alan Ruck, the once and future Cameron, is in the movie too. (Update on the song, it was Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, not ze Runaways)

Today is March 25. Getting back into going-to-class mode. Only six weeks left of school, how can that be? I got my Kick The Cheat The Cheat plush to from H*R and he is awesome. I threw him at Chris when he came to give me back some of my stuff. I made mom's caramel brownies yesterday for the CUMC soup supper. I took Grandma Hazel along too. Grandma, and the brownies, both a big hit.

Went to Welch for South Park last night. I went alone, but met up with some people. Highlight: Jason, Peter and I singing "The Origin of Love" from Hedvig. Yah. Right now me and Johnny Socko are rockin out on the topic of how a bitch stole his hat. I think it would be sweet if The D would cover this tune, I bet JB could really rip into it.

Today is March 29. Weekend full of work, of course it went way too fast. Sunday was cool due to no supervision and large amounts of Jell-O. For dinner, Jess invited me to eat at La Fuente with her and some friends. Right now, I'm watching episodes of The Larry Sanders Show. A little different, but it grows on you. It kind of reminds me of Arrested Development, not only for the remarkable Jeffery Tambor, but also because they don't need to show *all* the characters on every episode.

Here is a music survey I grabbed from this guy's page (he's part of the H*R community thing.

Today is March 31. I am the Mayor of Awesome. A flurry of consumer goods has come my way, mostly in the form of dvds. Monday received the Freaks and Geeks ultra-mega-super-special edition dvd. It came in a yearbook, and it's "signed" to Sam and Lindsay on the front and back covers. Also their school [McKinley] has the Norseman for the mascot too. Tuesday was H:LotS 4th season dvd set, along with the 3 classic Muppet movies, that I picked up as a special deal for 3/$20.

Also Tuesday, Jess and I went to see the movie Calender Girls at the dollar(fifty) theater. I would definitly recommend it to anyone who likes British films. But Jess doesn't have the Brit-obsession that I do, and she really enjoed it too. You can tell it is a true British film because one character tells another to "stop messing about."
