Today is June 2, just after midnight. Happy
Scandinavian
Days! I was there Friday night, watching some folk dancing, followed
by the amazing Isiserettes
drill team and drum corps. Then we ventured to the north park to enjoy
the carnival, and heard my friend Nathan's band perform. Finally, we saw
some really great fireworks. Tomorrow, er, later today there will be
much more fun and excitement, including
State Fair the musical.
Today is June 2, but it's later. Almost midnight again =)
I'm at my friend Lars's house, hanging out with a bunch of my cool
highschool friends. I had another awesome fun Scandi Day. First I
marched in the parade, then watched the rest, then ate yummy Immanuel
Lutheran Church Basement food with some of the members of "Seek First,"
Nathan's band. Later I took a nap and went to the musical. Right now we
are watching a show with scary freaky real video on The Learning
Channel.
Today is June 5. Happy Birthday Keith Baedke. Only he is off someplace
learning how to be a camp counselor.
I had a beer, and it was okay. Well, half a beer, actually. Courtesy my
wonderful friend Scott. It was pretty
good.
Miller High Life "lite" in a can.
Awesome link: Don't
Stop Believin'. I was e-mailed this page by my cool cousin Ryann. It
takes a while to load if you are a moron on a dialup like me, but totally
worth it!!!
Today is June 11. Scott
(hereinafter,
"Scott the King") strikes again. This time, he was personally
responsible for me signing up for a class i have dreamed about for two
years, Creative Writing: Screenplays. You can read about it
here
(you'll have to scroll down...dang web dudes not putting paragraph tags
in there!) Yeah. So I'm really excited about that. If all goes well I
may be ready to pursue my dream of writing for television!!
In other news, I went to see "Enemy at the Gates" with two of my cool
Hy-Vee friends. I went in thinking...oh, it's a dollar movie, whatever.
But I actually liked it a lot! It was really entertaining and it had a
good message, too. The only lame part of the movie was the uncomfortable
sex scene....It led my friends and I to shout "WHY??!" at the screen.
Today is June 14. Work is starting to suck because of certain ppl who
think I am "bossy" even after I honestly make an effort to be nice to
them. But most of my co-workers are still really cool so that makes me
make this face =)
One day , I decided that Larry needed a USB
card for one of his PCI slots. So, I'm
bidding
on one. Once he has this newfound USB power, Larry will be ready for
a
super-cool
Apple Pro Mouse! Of course, they want like 60 bucks for it,
so I'll try to get that off eBay too.
Today is June 18 and I am happy. Here
is a little song for you:
Life is good, said I, said I
Life is good, said I.
I got a haircut the other day (or as I call it, "my new hair") My
brother is home from
Atlanta where he was attending the
HOSA conference. I'm going to buy some new clothes and a scanner.
On the downside, I still haven't won a USB card for Larry, nor a Pro
mouse. So I guess we will have to be patient.
In other news, I have been dreaming a lot lately. Last night i had a
very vivid dream that I was reading Tavie's journal. (I refuse to call it a
"blog" b/c I hate that word...no offense to folks that like it). How sad
is that? I have a dream about something that happens every day. Reading
a
web page. At least it was a cool one =) And in the dream, I
was going to email her in reply to
what I read...I don't think I'll tell her about the dream though!
Today is June 28. Yesterday was really fun. I went swimming at the
Boone pool with my friend Sharon, and then saw
Almost Famous at the Union with SUB films. Afterwards, Faith and her
friend Eric and I hung out. Faith is such a cool friend and Eric proved
to be a great guy as well. Starting today I have to work 4 days in a
row! Scary! Tonight I get my pics back from
Lars's wedding and I will scan them with my groovy new scanner.
Oh yeah, I got a UNIX book at the library the other day. So I can figure
out vi (pronounced "vee-aye" according to Eric) and be cool. Though not
to say that Pico doesn't rock, because it does =)
