Gainfully Employed
mood:    sleepy
Today is September 27. For some reason the phrase "Gainfully employed" just popped into my head. What are the standards for being gainfully employed? Maybe you have to make a certain percent more than what you would need to break even at the end of the month. Who knows. It reminds me of legally blind.
"What if someone was illegally blind? When did vision become a legal issue? Forget about gun control, we've got bogus blind people to deal with. With their fake dogs and rubber pencils...they're making a mockery of our blind public."
Thanks, Jim G., you are a cool dude. Hoooooot pocket. Pope pocket. I still would like to see him perform some day. I like his joke about work where he says he was fired "for, as they put it 'hitting my boss.'" I can't really imagine hitting my boss. I smack Ktofor in the gut all the time though. For some reason this is my new little quirk. Every time I do this, he claims to be full of tea. I was recently fired from my job for, as they put it, "hitting the creative" when he was "full of tea." Ktofor (pronounced "K toefur") is a nickname that I created to be in the spirit of K-Fed, ha ha. Or maybe just like C-po (pronounced like it rhymes with "hippo"). I had Calypso's senior picture up in my office, and Ktofor made a little sign underneath that said "I love my mama." So I thought that was nice. Maybe I should stop with the gut-smacking. As Tim Lien (a/k/a Torinostylz) used to say "Rachel has a problem with hitting."

Happy B-day PB
mood:    cheerful
Today is September 22. Accd to blog records, i brought my PB12 home from the hospital store a year ago tomorrow. It has been a good year together. I have kept it pretty nice, except for the top case. It's weird since I don't wear a watch or anything but there's a few little pits/scars on that topcase where I rest my wrists. I tried to register my APP but the lady couldn't do it. So I gotta do that tomorrow so I can have 2 more years of worry-free use. Speaking of worry-free, I should back up my documents and pictures I've made on this guy.

Lately, I have been into graphs. Here is a graph I made of my iTunes playcounts, another graph of same, limited to song counts under 100, Jill's playcounts, Jill's song counts under 140, and of course Rachel vs. Jill playcounts. If you want I can make you a graph of your playcounts! Go into your iTunes library, sort by play counts, then export me a text file. I am craving some more data (I decided it would be dumb to re-do my own until at least a week had passed) so I would enjoy making a graph for you.

Now what?
mood:    confused
Today is September 16. I just realized I got ready for work an hour too early. I was nearly ready to go out the door (all I had to do was brush my teeth) and then I started thinking, "I'm pretty sure Hamlin didn't come in until 9:30 last Saturday." And since we are on the super-fancy rotation, what one of us does one week, another will do the next. I fired up my copy of the schedule, and sure enough, 9:30-6:30. So now I've got like an hour to kill. I figured this would be the more responsible thing to do, rathr than showing up at 8:30 and then skipping out on them at 5:30. I can't work on my crafts since I'm out of shellac, but maybe I can watch another episode of Stargate. Or maybe take a catnap. Blah. Gonna be a lonnnnng day.

Typical Sunday weirdness
mood:    silly
Today is September 10. The first two customers in the queue today were called Sam and Miranda. I swear that if we get a Carrie and/or a Charlotte at any point today, I will go down to Champp's and do a shot of something before I leave the mall today.

Shellac is wack

Today is September 5. I guarantee you I am going to pay my rent today, right before I go to work, because I am a responsible kit. Right now I am watching Sports Night on the DVD. Like AD, it was produced by Imagine Entertainment, so at the end of each episode where they show the logo and play the little sound, I immediately expect I'm going to hear the banjo theme-like tag under the Hurwitz Company logo. But then they play some other sound and I'm like "oh."

When Calypso sits in the sun he is very shiny. I have to take a shower and get ready for work soon.
